Food and service were five star. I mainly came to dine under the stained glass windows. I was disappointed when we were seated in a side room with no view of it. But I quickly got over it once the food began to arrive. Delicious. And our waiter was great. Personable and attentive. I highly recommend. but you might ask in advance for seats in the main dining room.
Stopped here for drinks! Great service and great cocktails.. a nice selection at a truly unique place. We really enjoyed it here and would totally return :)
The summer burrata salad was so good . This rustic salad was just what I needed on this hot humid day. The creamy burrata was so fresh and perfect, with the fragrant basil and juicy tomatoes. Look up to the most beautiful church ceiling. Spectacular with 60-foot vaulted ceilings and stained glass windows.
Such a unique place to have dinner, since it used to be an old church. The staff was easygoing and accommodating with us, we were late since I got the time mixed up for our reservation. Our server was welcoming and helpful. There are complimentary chips and hummus. The chips are quite salty. Good cocktails. I think I prefer my boyfriend's cocktails more than mine though, so we switch on the second round. The meatballs were delicious and tender, and I loved the different flavor profile. The portion size was tiny though. Same for my duck confit. The duck was very tender and flavorful. For the price, I expected a side to go along with the meal. The salmon was tasty but on the drier side. Overall, we had a pleasant dining experience. Definitely a place to try while in Charleston.
4/10/24: A group of us stopped in Church and Union Charleston for lunch. It's a very picturesque old church with a modern decor twist. Food was very good. Starters were tasty Chips with Pimento cheese Entrees were burgers and fried & grilled chicken sandwiches. Of course, tasty fries were included. Customer Service was very good.
